Published: December 17, 2018
Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick has revealed that the Super Eagles will be playing a friendly against one of the top three African countries as part of the national team's preparations for next summer's Africa Cup of Nations.
The friendly against the unnamed African country will hold during the first international break of 2019, 18-26 March, but after a dead rubber Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles.
''Before we were bottom of the group, now we have topped the group, we've qualified,'' Pinnick said in an interview with Channels Television.
''Now we have only one window before the Nations Cup, we will be playing Seychelles.
''We are going to be playing one of the top three teams from Africa in a friendly. We play Seychelles, three days after we play the team.
''It has been concluded. It has been signed, sealed and delivered. It is a big, big team coming to Nigeria''.
