Official : Nigeria U20 International Striker Dubbed The New Drogba Joins SonderjyskE
Published: January 05, 2019Through their official website, Danish Superliga side SønderjyskE have informed that they have completed the signing of Nigeria U20 international Nazifi Yahaya, who has been likened to Didier Drogba, for an undisclosed fee.
The 18-year-old has inked a one-year contract following a successful trial but SønderjyskE have an option for an extension of another two years.
''We got to see him before the players went on Christmas holidays, and we could quickly see that he is a really talented player,'' sports director Hans Jørgen Haysen said.
''Now he has to play qualification for the U20 World Cup next month and perhaps a World Cup final this summer, and that makes him of course only interesting that he has to show himself in the club and on that stage.''
Though Yahaya is an U19 player, the sport director expects the young striker to play in the Superliga as well.
He joins SønderjyskE from Nigerian club Dabo Babes Academy in Kano.
