Chelsea's Abraham Nowhere To Be Found As Striker Attempts To Force Move To Wolves
Published: January 08, 2019England U21 international Tammy Abraham has gone AWOL in an attempt to force a move to Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Mirror says the Chelsea striker failed to turn up for training at Aston Villa on Monday morning after asking his parent club to cancel his loan and strike a deal with Wolves.
Chelsea inserted a break clause in the deal sending Abraham to Villa Park last August and they have less than one week to trigger the clause.
The goalscoring sensation was omitted from the Aston Villa squad that lost 3-0 to Swansea City in the Emirates FA Cup last weekend because The Blues did not grant him permission to play.
Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Huddersfield Town have also offered Abraham the chance to return to the Premier League seven months after he left Swansea City but Wolves are in pole position for his services.
The 21-year-old has tallied 16 goals from 20 league games so far this season.
