Nine Nigerian Stars To Watch This Weekend Across Europe There will be mouth watering games to watch across Europe this weekend but which ones involving Super Eagles - and prospective Eagles stars are worth casting eyes over.

Izuchukwu Okosi takes a look at these matches after Isaac Success was omitted from Watford's side that faced Ebere Eze and Samuel Osayi's QPR at the Loftus Road Friday night.

1. Napoli vs Torino (Sunday, 8.30pm Nigerian time)

Second placed Napoli will welcome Torino who parade Super Eagles defender Ola Aina. The Chelsea loanee has been a regular feature for Torino, chalking up 20 Serie A games, starting 16 of them.

Torino have amassed seven points from a possible nine and have drawn five of their six away games in Serie A.

Aina is key to his club not just in defending but also going forward as a left wing back but it will not be an easy task against a team that have three clean sheets in their last three league matches.

2. Villarreal vs Sevilla (Sunday, 6.30pm)

Villarreal are in deep trouble in the La Liga as they lie in 19th place with 20 points after 23 league matches and they will seek to start a fightback with a herculean task against fourth placed Sevilla at the Estadio Ceramica on Sunday.

The Yellow Submarine will be relying on key players to save their season and Samuel Chukwueze has proved that he can crucial in how the season pans out for his club.

The Nigerian has played 13 league games starting nine of them and scored twice so far this season.

3. Fernabahce vs Konyaspor (Saturday, 5pm)

Victor Moses has become an instant hit at Fenerbahce where he is on a 18 months loan stint.

Already the Chelsea player who might rescind his decision to retire from international football has played three league games in the Turkish Super Lig and scored once.

Moses is expected to be in action on Saturday evening  as Fenerbahce who are gradually out of the relegation spots and now 15th in the table play hosts to sixth placed Konyaspor.

4.  Kasimpasa vs Galatasary (Sunday, 5pm)

Super Eagles striker Henry Onyekuru will be aiming to hit double goal scoring figures for Galatasary as they play away to Kasimpasa  on Sunday evening.

The Everton loanee has scored nine league goals thus far in 19 matches. He started 17 of those games and have amassed 1,514 minutes of league action.

5. Blackburn vs Middlesbrough (Sunday, 2pm)

Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi is likely to play his fifth game in all competitions (three in the Championship) for promotion chasing Middlesbrough who play away against Blackburn Rovers on Sunday lunchtime.

Head coach Tony Pulis did not play the former Chelsea star in the surprising FA Cup ouster against Newport County but is set to recall the Nigerian for the important fixture.

6. Real Sociedad vs Leganes (Saturday, 6.30pm)

Kenneth Omeruo was a journeyman as a Chelsea player who was shipped several times to Dutch and Turkish sides but since his latest loan move to La Liga outfit, Leganes, the Super Eagles defender has had a new lease of life with virtuoso performances.

The former youth international has played 16 league matches for his temporary employers and started 15 of them. He has proved to merit a consistent run in the national team.

Sociedad may be a better team but Leganes are desperate to avoid relegation dogfight and it will certainly not be a stroll in the park for the home side.

7. Brighton vs Derby (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun is expected to play in Saturday afternoon's FA Cup fifth round clash against a Derby County side that on Friday announced the signing of Nigerian international Efe Ambrose.

Ambrose is not expected to play just yet as confirmed by manager Frank Lampard but Balogun could get into his team's starting line up to break up the Lewis Dunk/Shane Duffy duopoly in a cup competition.

8. Udinese vs Chievo (Sunday, 3pm)

Next is another Super Eagles central defender, William Troost-Ekong who has played in all 23 Serie A league matches for Udinese this season.

The defender should be wary of extending his yellow cards received with three already to his name as they welcome Chievo Verona on Sunday afternoon.

9. Young Boys vs FC Zurich (Sunday, 4pm)

One cap Super Eagles striker Stephen Odey is likely to play in his 20th Swiss League game when FC Zurich visit table toppers Young Boys.

The former MFM striker has scored seven league goals this season and has been hugely influential in their Europa League campaign.
