Imoh Ezekiel Bags First Kortrijk Goal In Seventeenth Game Across All Competitions
Nigeria international Imoh Ezekiel finally opened his goalscoring account for Belgian First Division A side Kortrijk as they were beaten 2-1 by Victor Osimhen's Sporting Charleroi on Saturday.

Following a goalless first half, Ezekiel who missed a couple of opportunities in the opening 45 minutes broke the deadlock two minutes into the second half after some fine work by Ukrainian defender Andriy Batsula.

But Kortrijk could not hold onto their lead at the Guldensporenstadion, with Morioka and Jérémy Perbet netting for the visitors in the 66th and 90th minute respectively.

Ezekiel was in action for 554 minutes spread across seventeen matches before scoring his maiden goal for Kortrijk.

The 25-year-old has now scored 37 goals in 127 topflight matches in Belgium while wearing the jerseys of Standard Liege, RSC Anderlecht and Kortrijk.

Kortrijk, who are ninth in the table with 34 points, travel to Waasland-Beveren in their next fixture.
