Flying Eagles Striker Impressing On Trial With Norwegian Club Bodo/Glimt
Published: February 21, 2019
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands Flying Eagles striker Victor Okoh Boniface is hoping to earn a contract at Norwegian top division club FK Bodø/Glimt after impressing in a test game on Thursday, February 21.
The Real Sapphire FC star was initially named in the Nigeria U20s squad to the recently concluded Africa U20 Cup of Nations but was dropped at the last minute because of a knee injury.
That injury was supposed to keep him on the sidelines for a minimum of four weeks but the good news is that he has recovered quickly and arrived in Scandinavia two days ago to begin trials with Bodø/Glimt.
And even before signing a contract with Bodø/Glimt, he has endeared himself to the fans after netting a brace in a pre-season friendly against Aalesund this afternoon in Nordlandshallen.
Boniface opened the scoring in the 17th minute and celebrated again in the 37th minute after doubling Bodø/Glimt's advantage.
The FK Bodø/Glimt coach is expected to continue observing the highly-rated youngster for one more week before deciding whether to offer him a contract.
