'He Has Always Been A Chelsea Player' - Omeruo Expects Aina To Decide Future Amid Possible Torino Move
Published: February 22, 2019
Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omeruo has refused to be drawn into any speculation regarding the future of Ola Aina.
The former England U19 skipper has been in impressive form since his loan move to Torino and there is talk that The Maroons are willing to activate the option to buy him on a permanent basis set at ten million euros at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.
Aina has been on the books of Chelsea since he was an U11, rising through the ranks before he was handed his professional debut by former coach Antonio Conte in August 2016.
Asked if Aina has a chance at Chelsea or he should stay at Torino, Omeruo told tribalfootball.com : ''For Ola Aina, it is different. He has always been a Chelsea player.
''He grew up within the Chelsea system. He is a Chelsea kid who grew up from all the stages in the club.
''I think the decision is for him to make. I don't have anything to say regarding this.''
Ola Aina has operated as a left and right wing-back in 23 matches across all competitions for Torino this term.
