'He Can Play Some Lovely Passes' - Watford U23 Coach Hails Nigeria U20 Hopeful Bennetts
Published: March 06, 2019
Watford U23 coach Hayden Mullins was full of praise for Flying Eagles invitee Jayden Bennetts despite his side losing 3-0 to Leeds United in the Professional Development League on Monday, March 4.
The Nigeria U20s hopeful played his third game in five days against Leeds United, logging 300 minutes in the matches, and was the shining light for the Hornets on a disappointing afternoon.
Bennetts, who has been likened to Chelsea star Eden Hazard, played as a decoy center forward vs Leeds United.
''Jayden has done really well again. I see him in training every day but you only really learn about them in games and I think he’s one who has handled it well and come to the fore,'' said Mullins to Watford's official website.
''Jayden is good when he gets the ball at his feet in good areas as he can play some lovely passes.

''He can also link the play well. We played him higher today and he looked after the ball well. He’s doing really well.''
Bennetts trained with the Flying Eagles in January but could not make the squad for the U20 AFCON due to club commitments.
