What Everton Are Missing Due To Onyekuru's Work Permit Issue

What Everton Are Missing Due To Onyekuru's Work Permit IssueEverton signed Henry Onyekuru from Belgian side KAS Eupen in 2017 but  he's yet to record a single appearance for the Merseyside outfits, no thanks to a complicated work permit issue.

Unfortunately for Marcos Silva's side, the Toffees are  less impressive in front of goal all through this season, which can be traced to lack of many deadly strikers to shoulder their goalscoring burden.

Cenk Tosun has managed just three goals in all competitions, while the attack-minded Theo Walcott has found the back of the net on four occasions in 36 games.

If not for work permit issues preventing Henry Onyekuru from playing in England, the winger would have been a source of inspiration for Marco Silva's men.

He would have been the team's goalscoring machine just like he was for Belgian side Eupen where he scored a total of 24 goals and provided nine assists during the 2016-17 season.

His speed at the flank would have also helped the Toffees become more ruthless at the final half of the pitch.

He would have created more goalscoring chances from the flanks as results of his fine in-swinging crosses into opponent's box and his ability to get past defenders in 1-v-1 situations.

Meanwhile, Onyekuru's hope of getting the needed paperwork before next season will be boosted if he is included in Gernot Rohr's AFCON squad in June.

The winger, who is on loan at Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray, remains a fringe part of the Super Eagles team but hopes his performances against Seychelles and Egypt are enough to earn him a spot in the team to Egypt.
