Chelsea Let Slip Tammy Abraham Expected To Re-join Club Next Season
Published: April 23, 2019
Chelsea have let the cat out of the bag over the future of Tammy Abraham after revealing that the England U21 star of Nigerian descent is expected to return to Stamford Bridge next season.
The center forward is facing approximately two weeks on the sidelines after sustaining a
shoulder injury in Aston Villa's 2-0 win at Bolton Wanderers on Good
Friday.
In their media review of Chelsea players, The Blues wrote Abraham is expected to re-join Chelsea next season, as they provided an injury update on the 21-year-old.
Therefore, the England U21 star is unlikely to be signed by Aston Villa on a permanent basis whether or not they are promoted to the Premier League.
Furthermore, it would be difficult for his suitors, notably Wolves and RB Leipzig, to acquire him outright, if the latest update from Chelsea is anything to go by.
The Chelsea loanee did not play any part in Aston Villa's 1-0 win vs Millwall on Monday and is also ruled out of the trip to Leeds United this coming Sunday.
Words of hope have been provided by Villa boss Dean Simth who expects his leading scorer to be available for the final match of the regular season against promotion candidates, Norwich City on May 5.
