Promising Nigeria-Eligible Midfielder Could Become The Next Breakout Starlet At Chelsea
Published: April 28, 2019
One of Chelsea's talented Academy products who has come to earn amazing
recognition thanks to his glaring qualities is their Nigerian midfielder,
Faustino Anjorin.
The production line at Cobham has well been
famed for nurturing talents and while we have seen a couple of them take
the leap in recent years, their is every pointer that Anjorin will be
the next best thing to emerge from the club's youth set-up.
Since penning his first professional contract at Stamford Bridge in November 2018, the 17-year-old has blossomed into a strong, fearsome midfielder who combines quick dribbling with innate goalscoring ability, of he has had to admit that he has ''got quicker and stronger thanks to the coaching staff."
He has continued to make his inestimable talents evident and there was even a certain time he scored in eight successive matches for the club's youth teams within September to November last year, a feat which earned him rave reviews in the press.
Thus, it was little wonder when he was named amongst the top five wonder kids to watch in English Football and he has never disappointed.
But therein lies the nub of the dilemma — while he consistently churns out awe-inspiring displays in the youth ranks, will his performances ever see him turn out for the senior side any time soon?
Perhaps he alongside
Callum Hudson-Odoi could become the next breed of starlets to be
unleashed on the glamorous Premier League.
