'Invincible' Akpom : I Would Love To Play In The Champions League Vs Arsenal
Published: May 26, 2019
Nigerian striker Chuka Akpom had his most successful season as a professional in the 2018-2019 campaign, helping Greek side PAOK win the Super League and Cup by scoring eight goals in all competitions.
PAOK clinched the league title without losing a single game and The Gunners have achieved this feat before in the Premier League back in
the 2003-2004 season when they went 38 games unbeaten, with Nigeria
legend Nwankwo Kanu part of the side.
Despite missing out on the top four positions in the Premier League, Arsenal have another way to qualify for the Champions League, if they beat Chelsea in the Europa League final on Wednesday, and Akpom would like to face his boyhood club in Europe's premium club competition next season.
''Not many people can say they are invincibles,'' said Akpom to The Sun.
''Now I would love to play in the Champions League against Arsenal. That would be my dream.''

He added : ''In Thessaloniki, there’s one team. Everyone is PAOK.
''It’s not just a football club. They say it’s a religion, it’s life. There’s a big history between the Athens clubs and PAOK and it’s about more than football.''
