Official : World Cup Winner Inks New Deal With Manchester United
Manchester United have announced that 2010 World Cup-winning midfielder Juan Mata has inked a new deal which will keep him at Old Trafford until the end of the 2020-2021 season.

United can exercise the option to extend his contract by a further twelve months.

Mata joined the Red Devils from Chelsea in 2014 and has won an Emirates FA Cup, a League Cup, the UEFA Europa League and FA Community Shield in his five-year stint at the club.

''It is a real honour to continue to represent this amazing club and our incredible fans. I have been at Manchester United for five years and I am proud to call Old Trafford my home,'' Mata said to United's official website.

"I am looking forward to working with Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] and his fantastic coaching staff; the vision that they have for the club is truly exciting and I am so happy that I will be a part of that."

The 31-year-old Mata has recorded 218 appearances for Manchester United, scoring 45 goals.
