Championship club Fulham have unveiled their new scholars ahead of the 2019-2020 season with a Nigerian among the new intake.

Defender Idris Odutayo officially started a two-year scholarship with the Cottagers on July 1 and has been fully promoted to the U18 team.

Last season, the 2002-born player made eight starts for Fulham in the U18 Premier League logging 700 minutes as a schoolboy.

Apart from Odutayo, six other teenagers made the step up from the U16s to the U18s.

He was impressive on his competitive debut for Fulham U18s, helping goalkeeper Ashby-Hammond to post a shutout in a 2-0 win at Norwich City on February 23.

Last season, Colin Omogbehin, who is a Nigerian, coached Fulham U18s and he has been appointed as joint head coach for the U23s ahead of the new season.
