Official : Ex-Manchester United Striker Ajose Joins Exeter City
Published: July 04, 2019
EFL League Two club Exeter City have pulled off a transfer coup with the signing of Manchester United Academy product Nicholas Ajose.
The 27-year-old striker was courted by a plethora of Football League clubs after his release by Charlton Athletic at the end of the 2018-2019 season.
Bury-born Ajose spent 12 years at Manchester United and departed the Old Trafford outfit in 2011 without making a single appearance for the first team.
''I am hungry to score goals. It is why I play football. I am someone who likes to score, create and obviously, I want to win, but I like getting in behind defenders and causing problems,'' Ajose told Exeter City's official website.
“Yes, for sure we are looking for promotion. It was strange last year because it was quite tight all the way and you could go from seventh to third in a week’s time.

''Hopefully, this year with the experience the boys have had and the manager, they will be able to get up automatically.''
Since leaving Manchester United, Ajose has played for Peterborough United, Scunthorpe United, Chesterfield, Crawley Town, Bury, Swindon Town, Leeds United, Crewe Alexandra, Charlton and Mansfield Town.
