Confirmed : Ikenne-King Returns For Second Spell At Budapest Honved
Published: July 23, 2019Through a statement on their official website, Hungarian NB I side Budapest Honvéd have announced the signing of versatile Nigerian defender George Ikenne-King Patrick.
Budapest Honved were forced to go into the transfer market for a right sided defender after Mohamed Mezghrani and Nikolasz Kovács suffered ligament and partial ankle tears respectively.
Ikenne-King is returning to Budapest Honved after leaving the club for MTK Budapest in the summer of 2018.
In his first spell at Honved from 2012 to 2018, he appeared in 120 competitive matches and provided nine assists.
The 27-year-old will spend the entirety of the 2019-2020 season on loan at Budapest Honvéd.
He is a product of Flying Sports Academy which produced Nigeria international midfielder John Ogu.
