Teenage Goalkeeper Bazunu Named In Man City's Match Day Squad For The First Time
Teenage goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu was included in Manchester City's match day squad for the first time in his career as the Premier League champions  beat Yokohama F. Marinos 3-1 at the Nissan Stadium in a pre-season friendly on Saturday afternoon.

The Republic of Ireland youth teamer of Nigerian descent traveled with the first team to Asia but was not selected for the games against West Ham, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Kitchee.

And as a result of commitments with the Citizens, he was left out of the Republic of Ireland squad for the 2019 European U19 Championship.

Goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Lukas Nmecha secured a win for Pep Guardiola's side, with just over a week before they face Liverpool in the Community Shield.

Bazunu would have worn the number 55 jersey had he featured against Yokohama F. Marinos.

The 17-year-old glovesman appeared in six competitive matches for Shamrock Rovers posting four shutouts, prior to his move to Manchester City in the January transfer window.
