Ex-West Ham Coach Thumbs Up Iheanacho For Deserved Goal; Leicester Striker Rated Outstanding
Leicester City defeated Aston Villa at the Villa Park Sunday evening which meant they have won eight successive games in the Premier league, a feat not even achieved by the title winning side of 2015/2016 season.

Super Eagles duo Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi put up impressive performances for the Foxes who remain second in the table after 16 league matches.

Leicester Mercury rated the players and Nigeria's Ndidi and Iheanacho as expected got high marks.

Iheanacho grabbed Leicester's second goal, a brilliant finish as he outsmarted two markers for his second league goal of the season.

The match was also his first start in the Premier league as he had to come from the bench to score and assist against Everton seven days ago..

Leicester Mercury wrote:

"Wilfred Ndidi: Did his duties well in a feisty midfield battle, covering central areas to force Villa wide, while he was quick to set City away on the counter when the opportunity arose. 7."

"Kelechi Iheanacho: Outstanding. When he's as confident as he is right now, he looks dangerous every time he gets the ball. His movement was positive, his footwork put defenders on the back foot, while he threaded a brilliant ball through for Vardy's opener. 9."

Meanwhile, former West Ham United and Charlton Athletic manager Alan Curbishley on Premier League Productions programme Premier League Wrap gave kudos to Iheanacho for his goal on Sunday against Aston Villa.

"He deserved his goal. His movement was great. The moment Maddison got to the ball, he (Iheanacho) was ahead of the defenders.

"I know you would say the defender there had a touch of the ball but he (Iheanacho) made him do that so he fully deserved his goal," the pundit stressed.
