Werder Bremen Eye Move For Two-Footed Nigeria-Eligible Defender
German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen are eyeing a summer move for Nigeria-eligible youngster Felix Agu, according to reports.

Daily newspaper Weser Kurier has reported that the versatile defender is on the wishlist of Werder Bremen but has excluded a transfer in the January transfer window.

VfL Osnabrück would be delighted to see the deal go through this month as they would be due a transfer fee but Agu prefers to join Werder Bremen as a free agent at the end of the 2019-2020 season.

The 20-year-old is also attracting interest from other Bundesliga teams, as well as clubs based in England, Netherlands and Belgium.

A two-footed fullback, Agu is represented by Thomas Eichin who was Managing Director Sport at Werder Bremen for three years, 2013-2016, before he became an intermediary.

His two caps for Germany U21 team were earned in friendly matches, making him eligible to play for the Super Eagles without applying to FIFA for a change of association.

This season, Agu has produced five assists in thirteen 2. Bundesliga games, logging 1,076 minutes.
