Speaking to the national press in England on Friday ahead of Leicester City's Premier League clash against Southampton at the King Power Stadium, manager Brendan Rodgers has provided an update on the fitness of Wilfred Ndidi.
The Nigeria international suffered a knee injury ahead of Wednesday's Carabao Cup match against Aston Villa and faces a minimum of three weeks on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on Thursday, January 9.
Ndidi is back at Leicester City and has started his rehabilitation after the successful operation.
"It went very well," Rodgers told reporters.
"It was a good operation. He's now back in and straight into his recovery. Something around that (three or four weeks). Sometimes it can be sooner, sometimes it can’t be."

Prior to his spell on the sidelines, the former Racing Genk midfielder played 24 games in all competitions, including 21 starts, and scored two goals in the Premier League.
Ndidi is expected to miss the next five matches contested by The Foxes - including the return leg of the Carabao Cup match vs Aston Villa on January 28.
