Nigerian-born winger Bobby Adekanye received high praise from Lazio fans after scoring his first career goal for the
Igho Kingsley
Biancocelesti in their 5-1 rout of SPAL in the Serie A on Sunday, February 2.
Lazio
could not finalise a deal for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud before the
close of the January transfer window, which had left the fans

a different tune, saying that Adekanye has proved that he can be
counted on to score goals after the failure to land the France World Cup
winner.

The former Liverpool and Barcelona starlet spoke of his happiness at opening his goalscoring account for Lazio.
In quotes carried by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Adekanye said : "I have dreamed of this goal since I was a child, since I started playing football.
"I wanted to feel this emotion, it's a beautiful feeling that cannot be explained in words. I thank Lazio for the opportunity it is giving me."
