'EPL Is An Important League In The World' - Conte Explains Why He Signed Moses, Man Utd, Spurs Players
Published: February 08, 2020
Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte faced the cameras at the Suning Training Centre on Saturday afternoon ahead of tomorrow's derby against AC Milan and was asked to explain his decision to sign five players from the English Premier League since he took over the reins at The Nerazzurri.
Inter brought in Victor Moses, Ashley Young and Christian Eriksen from Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window, while Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez joined from United in the summer, with the Belgium striker inking a permanent deal.
At the press conference monitored by allnigeriasoccer.com, Conte explained : "I had a great experience in England and this league (Premier League) is an important league in the world and you can find a lot of best players in the world.
"We tried to see the best solution for us to improve our squad and in this case it was the opportunity to take players in England - Victor Moses, Ashley Young, then Christian Eriksen.
"I am very lucky and the club is very lucky because these players, they are doing very well but it was only a tactical decision and for the quality of the players - for the strength, the intensity they can put during the game."
