Ighalo Names Three Manchester United Icons He Would Have Loved To Play With
Published: May 06, 2020
Former Nigeria international Odion Ighalo has identified three Manchester United icons he would have loved to play with.
The three players namely Ryan Giggs, David Beckham and Paul Scholes were key members of the United side that won the treble (Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League ) in 1999.
Ighalo admitted that playing alongside the three creative players would be of benefit to any striker.
When quizzed if he would have loved to play in the 1999 team, Ighalo told United's official website : "If you have Ryan Giggs from the left, David Beckham from the right and Paul Scholes in the middle, then what else does a striker need?
"When you see Beckham cross the ball, all you have to do is move your leg or your head and tap it in. Giggs, from the left, doing his magic. It was a great team and they did so well."

Ighalo has performed more than he was expected to do since his shock move to the Red Devils in January, scoring 4 goals in eight matches across all competitions.
