Newcastle United Interested In Queens Park Rangers' Star Of Nigerian Descent
Published: May 31, 2020
Eberechi Eze appears set for a move in the summer transfer window, with several Premier League clubs interested in the services of the Queens Park Rangers playmaker.
According to Chronicle Live, Newcastle United are keeping tabs on the England U21 international of Nigerian descent with a view to a possible swoop.
The Magpies have to see off competition from London clubs Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace and West Ham United to sign Eze.
Given his outstanding performance for QPR this season, Newcastle United believe he can make an immediate impact if he is signed.
The 21-year-old has scored 12 goals while providing eight assists from 37 appearances in the Championship and has been crucial in Queens Park Rangers' late push for a playoff spot.
Eze joined the Hoops in 2016 after wearing the colours of the youth teams of Arsenal, Fulham and Millwall.
The former Super Eagles invitee has a contract with Queens Park Rangers until the end of the 2020-2021 season.
