Published: June 04, 2020
German-Nigerian center back Felix Uduokhai will not be returning to Wolfsburg at the end of the 2019-2020 season.
With a statement on their official website, Wolfsburg have confirmed that Augsburg exercised their option to buy the central defender, who had been on loan since the start of the season with the team.
The 22-year-old Uduokhai departs Wolfsburg after making 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals.
He joined Wolfsburg in the summer of 2017 after spells with the youth teams of VfB Annaberg 09, Erzgebirge Aue and 1860 Munich.
Augsburg have decided to sign Uduokhai on a permanent deal after excelling in the first nine months of his loan spell with the club.
He has played 22 games for Augsburg in the German Bundesliga, logging 1,601 minutes.
Uduokhai has collected ten caps for Germany's youth teams but remains eligible to represent the Super Eagles.
