Nwakali was in Huesca's traveling party to Malaga six days ago but was not utilised by manager Michel.
The Spanish coach must have been impressed with what he saw in the training sessions leading up to the game against Mirandes before handing a debut to the talented Nigerian midfielder, considering the fact he had not played competitively at club level for over a year, since his spell with Porto B.
Alvaro Rey gave the visitors the lead in the 62nd minute, Rafa Mir scored to make it 1-1 eight minutes later, before álvaro Peña netted the winning goal ten minutes before Nwakali's introduction.
Nwakali was the star of the Golden Eaglets squad that won the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup and earned a move to Arsenal after the tournament in Chile but couldn't play for the Premier League side due to work permit issues.
