2019-20 Chelsea POTY Awards : Anjorin Battles Pulisic, 24 Others For Player Of The Season
Promising midfielder of Nigerian descent, Faustino Anjorin has been nominated for Chelsea's Player of the Season accolade for the 2019-2020 campaign.

The official website of Chelsea has asked supporters to vote for the Men's Player of the Season and Anjorin is among the twenty-six players in the running for the yearly award.

The England U19 international faces competition from established first team stars such as the American Christian Pulisic, thought to be the favourite for the award after an outstanding debut season in England, World Cup winner N'Golo Kante, Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori, Ross Barkley and Mason Mount in his bid to win the Player of the Season prize.

Anjorin played twice for Chelsea's first team in the recently concluded season, coming off the bench for the last 23 minutes in a 7-1 win vs Grimsby Town in September, before making his Premier League debut in a 4-0 rout of Everton just before the lockdown.

The 18-year-old was on the bench when The Blues defeated Liverpool 2-0 in the Emirates FA Cup on March 3 and trained several times with the first team in 2020.

He has also been nominated for Chelsea's Goal of the Season accolade for his beauty against Leicester City in a Premier League 2 fixture in January.

Anjorin captained Chelsea in last season's FA Youth Cup and was the club's top scorer in the Premier League 2 with 5 goals.
