Bowen Confirms Liverpool's Ejaria Is Training With Reading; Provides Update On Midfielder's Future
Published: August 17, 2020Reading manager Mark Bowen has confirmed that Liverpool-owned player Ovie Ejaria is back at the Championship club training ahead of the 2020-2021 season.
The 2017 England U20 World Cup-winning midfielder has called Reading home in the last one and a half seasons, having enjoyed a successful loan spell in the second half of the 2018-19 season before returning for a second spell last term.
Though Liverpool have allowed Ejaria to join the Royals for pre-season, his proposed move to the Madejski Stadium is not done and dusted due to the club's complicated financial situation.
Speaking to Reading's official website on Monday, Bowen explained : "And we’re lucky to have Ovie Ejaria here training with us - and thanks to Liverpool for allowing us to do that.
"But anything we can or can't do on him will depend on the finances at the club and what we are able to do to take that situation forward.
"I’ll be trying to get more information on what we are going to be able to do, but it is all wrapped up into what we are able to do in terms of our finances at the club."

It is believed that Ejaria is not in the plans of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp for the upcoming season as he was left out of the traveling party to Austria, where they are holding a training camp.
