Cardiff City Join Nottingham Forest, Reading In Race For Liverpool Winger Ojo
Published: September 06, 2020Cardiff City have joined the list of Championship clubs interested in signing Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
The Beautiful Game Podcast claims that Ojo is a target for Cardiff City with a season-long loan being mooted.
The 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup winner, who is now 23, has reached an age where he needs to become a first team regular and Liverpool have not assured him of playing opportunities for the new season.
Ojo is believed to be surplus to requirements at Anfield as he wasn't involved in any of Liverpool's pre-season games, fueling speculation that he is set for another loan spell or sold before close of the transfer window.
Nottingham Forest and Reading are the other Championship clubs credited with an interest in the winger.
Ojo previously spent time on loan at Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham , Reims and Glasgow Rangers.
Since he was promoted to Liverpool's first team, he has appeared in 13 matches, scoring one goal and providing four assists.
