'People Are Going To See Soon Why Eze Is A Top Player' - QPR's Alfa On Crystal Palace New Boy
Published: October 04, 2020
Queens Park Rangers winger Odysseus Alfa has revealed that his former teammate Eberechi Eze was deserving of his transfer to Crystal Palace following a breakout season that saw him involved in 22 goals (14 goals, 8 starts) in 46 starts in the Championship.
Alfa who rose through the Queens Park Rangers ranks before earning promotion to the development squad is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Eze but his first target is to break into the first team of the Hoops.
Eze has been involved in all the matches played by the Eagles since his arrival at Selhurst Park, five in total, including three starts of which two were in the English Premier League.
On what he discussed with Eze before the playmaker joined Crystal Palace, Alfa told allnigeriasoccer.com : "I wished him all the best, as he deserved the move.
"He is a top player and people are going to see why very soon.
"I hope through hard work I can achieve similar things too, and keep progressing. But my first goal is to become a first team regular at QPR".
Eze signed a five-year contract with Crystal Palace, with his former employer Queens Park Rangers set to pocket 20 million pounds from his transfer if performance-related variables are included.
