Official : Chelsea Announce Nigerian Goalkeeper Has Signed A New Contract
Published: November 06, 2020
Through their official website, Chelsea have confirmed that Nigeria Football Federation target Prince Adegoke has signed a new contract with the club.
Allnigeriasoccer.com exclusively reported a year ago that Adegoke was guaranteed a professional contract when he turned 17 years and the Blues have confirmed that the promising goalkeeper has signed his first professional contract.
The highly-rated teenager is now committed to Chelsea until the summer of 2023, the Stamford Bridge outfit have announced, just as allnigeriasoccer.com first reported on Tuesday.
The signing ceremony hurriedly took place on Thursday, a day after Chelsea's Champions League win against Rennes.
Adegoke is currently undergoing rehabilitation after an operation on his meniscus due to an injury he suffered during the warmup of a pre-season friendly against Crystal Palace in September.
He was officially called up to the Golden Eaglets squad before their trip to Brazil for the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup but educational and club commitments prevented him from traveling to Abuja.
