Super Eagles Right Back Ebuehi Named In Official Eredivisie Team Of The Month
Published: November 07, 2020
Super Eagles right back Tyronne Ebuehi has been recognized for his impressive displays during the month of October following his inclusion in the Eredivisie Team of the Month published by the official website of the league.
Last month, the Benfica loanee was a key figure for FC Twente, helping the club pick up two wins and one draw in his four appearances.
Ebuehi started and went the full ninety in all the league matches contested by Twente, against FC Emmen, Willem II, FC Utrecht and PEC Zwolle, and bagged his first assist of the season in his most recent outing - a 5-1 hammering of the Bluefingers.
As you would expect, the Nigeria international slotted in at right back in the Team of the Month while the other Twente player in the Best XI Danilo started as the left attacking midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Ebuehi's outstanding form in the Netherlands, where he was born, saw him earn a recall to the Super Eagles for last month's games against Algeria and Tunisia and he was undoubtedly one of the best Nigerian players that tasted action in the loss to the African champions.
With his injury problems at Benfica well and truly behind him, he has been invited again to the Nigeria squad for their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches with Sierra Leone.
