'He Plays Great'- Slavia Coach Gives Glowing Assessment Of Olayinka After Game-winner

Coach Jindřich Tripišovský has lauded Peter Olayinka after he scored another decisive goal to help Slavia Prague secure a hard-fought 1-0 win against Mladá Boleslav in the Fortuna Liga on Sunday.

Slavia took the lead seven minutes in as Olayinka fired the ball past Mikulec to the far post after meeting a through pass from Tomáš Holeš.

The Nigeria national teamer has been influential for the Czech champions in the new season, scoring the game-winning goal against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League after coming off the bench and was unfortunate to end up on the losing side after opening the scoring vs FC Midtjylland in the Champions League playoffs.

"Of course he plays great, I would add the match in Midtjylland, where he also scored. Since then, every match has played so great," Tripišovský said to Slavia Prague's official website.

"For my taste, he has to deal with some situations more constructively, towards the team. He plays some simple situations terribly, on the contrary, he can get even in difficult situations.

"He got into the contest and finished great thanks to an excellent final pass from Tomáš Holeš. He pulls us, he gets on very well with Oscar.

"He had a great chance in the first half and instead of releasing the midfielder for a shot, he went to dribble over two players. There are some details, but he plays great and is productive."

Olayinka has not been invited to the Super Eagles since making his debut in an international friendly against Brazil in October 2019.
