The Roll Call Of Players Involved In Super Eagles First Workout Pre-Sierra Leone
Sixteen players trained with the Super Eagles in their first workout at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City on Tuesday evening ahead of the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match with Sierra Leone, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

It appears manager Gernot Rohr has opted to hand a late call-up to Heartland goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa as he was involved in the training session, meaning there are four goalkeepers expected to be available for selection including Kaizer Chiefs star Daniel Akpeyi, who is on his way to Nigeria.

Captain Ahmed Musa, Alex Iwobi, William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Leon Balogun and Joe Aribo participated in the first training session carried out by manager Gernot Rohr this calendar year, and they were joined by Kevin Akpoguma, Sebastian Osigwe, Zaidu Sanusi, Tyronne Ebuehi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Maduka Okoye, Chidozie Awaziem, Kelechi Iheanacho and Emmanuel Dennis.

Apart from Akpeyi, the two players handed late call-ups in the form of Abdullahi Shehu and Paul Onuachu didn't participate in the workout.

Also being expected are Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, West Brom's Semi Ajayi, SC Paderborn's Jamilu Collins, Villarreal's Samuel Chukwueze and CSKA Moscow's Chidera Ejuke.

Rohr's main goal for the first training session is to ensure that the players shake off their post-travel fatigue after the long trip from Europe.
