Good News For Super Eagles Fans Regarding Augsburg Center Back Uduokhai
Super Eagles fans received the best possible news about FC Augsburg center back Felix Uduokhai on Tuesday night, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Uduokhai is still there for the taking as he was a non-playing substitute for Germany in their humiliating 6-0 loss to Spain in a UEFA Nations League match at the Estadio Olímpico de Sevilla.

Had he featured against the Spaniards, the Annaberg-Buchholz-born defender would have become cap-tied to his country of birth.

The Nigeria Football Federation and manager Gernot Rohr have been attempting to convince Uduokhai to switch his allegiance to the Super Eagles without success and it was thought the fight to secure his international future was more or less over after he received a maiden call-up to Germany's senior team for their matches in November.

Joachim Löw did not utilise the left-footed central defender in the friendly against Czech Republic on November 11 and he wasn't considered in the following game - a UEFA Nations League match vs Ukraine three days later.

Three German-born players namely Maduka Okoye, Leon Balogun and Kevin Akpoguma - all cap-tied to Nigeria for life - started for the Super Eagles in their goalless draw with Sierra Leone on Tuesday evening.

The 23-year-old Uduokhai is eligible to represent the Super Eagles through his Nigerian father, while is mother hails from Germany.
