Photo Confirmation : Manchester United Sign New Central Defender
Published: November 26, 2020English Premier League club Manchester United have bolstered their academy ranks with the capture of promising central defender Jack Kingdon.
The talented 15-year-old signed a contract with the Old Trafford outfit this week and in the process ended his association with Morecambe FC.
He will initially start with Manchester United's U16 team and is also eligible to play for the club in the U17 Premier League Cup as well as the U18 Premier League.
Kingdon was called up to train with Morecambe U18s during pre-season and went on to make his unofficial debut for the age group in a friendly against Preston North End.
Confirming the deal, Kingdon wrote on social media : "I’m very honoured & proud to be a part of this special club @manunited".
Anglo-Nigerian youngster Habeeb Ogunneye plays for Manchester United U16s.
