'His Finishing Was Deadly' - Fulham Boss Hails Lookman For Goal Against Man Utd
Published: January 21, 2021
Fulham manager Scott Parker has praised Ademola Lookman for his performance during the 2-1 loss to Manchester United on Wednesday night.
With Jamaica international Bobby Decordova-Reid suspended due to accumulated bookings, the Super Eagles hopeful was asked to lead the attack and he stepped up to the plate, breaking the offside trap to beat goalkeeper David de Gea inside five minutes.
Lookman showed his quality and caused the Manchester United defence a few problems on the night.
"We changed it up tonight in terms of Ade and got him central and I thought he was first class. Obviously it worked to a tee with the first goal," Parker said to Fulham's official webpage.
"He had a lot of time on his hands when he went through and his finishing was deadly.
"We’ve been trying to look at ways where we can get people in the right areas that can score the goals for us really and I thought that worked really well.
"I think everyone’s seen his quality in the short space of time he’s been with us, outstanding.
"He’s a player in this team that can score goals for us and that’s what we need, and he proved that tonight."
