Nmecha Involved In Three Goals As Manchester City Record 6-1 Win At Leicester City U23s
Published: February 16, 2021
Felix Nmecha, the younger brother of Manchester City striker on loan at Anderlecht Lukas Nmecha, was involved in three goals playing in an attacking midfield role as the Citizens recorded an impressive 6-1 road win against Leicester City in a Premier League 2 clash on Monday.
Nmecha was named in the starting lineup along with City teammate, winger Samuel Edozie.
The 20-year-old confidently converted a penalty to make it 2-0 in the 24th minute after Danny Simpson was adjudged to have brought down Edozie in the penalty box.
In the 37th minute, Liam Delap increased the lead when he fired a left-footed shot past the goalkeeper, assisted by Nmecha.
The Anglo-Nigerian netted Manchester City's sixth goal five minutes from time, with a shot from distance.
Nmecha has taken his tally to five goals in eleven appearances in the Premier League 2 and has featured for the first team in Champions League and FA Cup matches this season while making the bench for the Premier League clash at Southampton back in December.
Manchester City lead the way in the Premier League 2 with 28 points from 14 matches.
