Leicester City Coach Rodgers Comments On Losing Key Midfielder Ndidi To Bigger Clubs
Published: February 17, 2021
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers attended a press conference on Wednesday ahead of his side's trip to the Czech Republic capital, where they take on Slavia Prague in a UEFA Europa League round of 32 tie.
One of the issues addressed during the press conference was the possibility of Wilfred Ndidi moving to a bigger club in the summer transfer window.
The Nigeria international has gained a reputation as one of the best holding midfielders in the English Premier League and it is only a matter of time before he joins an elite European club.
It is known that the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are keeping tabs on the Super Eagle with a view to swoop in future.
When asked if he was worried about losing Ndidi to bigger clubs, Rodgers was quoted as saying by Leicestershire Live: "He's one of the top players in world football. His quality in his football is improving all the time.
"He is irreplaceable for us. He's fantastic for a young player.
"What is pleasing as a coach, is that he wants to learn. He will improve and get better.
"I'm so happy he plays in my team."
