'He's a great passer of the ball' - Leicester's Iheanacho on his good understanding with Ndidi
Published: March 12, 2021Red-hot Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has explained why he has a good understanding with Wilfred Ndidi.
The two footballers played together in the Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles class of 2013 and 2015 respectively before they were promoted to the Super Eagles six years ago under manager Sunday Oliseh.
In the penultimate round of matches in the Premier League, Iheanacho's brilliant goal recused a point for the Foxes as the number 14 sent a superb first-time volley
into the net after Ndidi lofted a ball over the Burnley defence.
The following matchday, the former Manchester City starlet was again on the scoresheet, this time profiting from a pass by Youri Tielemans to put Leicester City back on level terms versus Brighton & Hove.
"Both passes were great. Wilf is a great passer of the ball. I know him and I played with him from the Under-17s team with Nigeria, so he’s a very good passer. That pass from Youri is something else!" Iheanacho said to LCFC TV.
"If you watch the replay and how the ball is rolling on the floor, the pass is a world-class pass."

Iheanacho is enjoying a rich vein of form at the moment, scoring four goals in six domestic matches since the start of February.
On his brilliant form, the Super Eagle said : "I’m happy and I’m confident, even if I don’t score. I’m really happy with the goals and hopefully they will keep coming."
"It’s got to be the volley! The pass was great from Wilf [Ndidi] and the little run from Jamie [Vardy] created the space," he said when asked for his favourite goal.

"It looks like Jamie’s goal at West Brom! I’m really happy about that, it was a great finish, but I love my goal against Brighton as well."
Iheanacho and his Leicester City teammates welcome Sheffield United to King Power Stadium on Sunday, March 14.
