Nmecha comes off bench to score twice as Manchester City hit seven past Southampton B

Manchester City have opened up a five-point gap at the top of the Premier League 2 table after demolishing Southampton B 7-1 at the Academy Stadium on Monday afternoon.
England youth international of Nigerian descent Felix Nmecha has not been selected by manager Pep Guardiola in his 23-man group for Tuesday's Champions League last-16 second-leg match against Borussia Monchengladbach, so he participated in today's clash against the Saints.
Sheyi Ojo's cousin Zuriel Otseh-Taiwo and Belgian-Nigerian winger Kazeem Olaigbe started for the Saints while former Arsenal schoolboy David Agbontohoma was a non-playing substitute.
Samuel Edozie assisted Liam Delap score the second of his three goals before making way for Nmecha in the 79th minute with the scoreline reading 5-1.
The German-born attacking midfielder made an immediate impact by scoring Manchester City's sixth goal less than four minutes after his introduction and he wrapped up the scoring with another close range effort two minutes from time.
The 20-year-old Nmecha has made two appearances for Manchester City's first team this season - against Olympiakos in the group stage of the Champions League and Birmingham City in the third round of the FA Cup.
