Many Italian and foreign clubs interested in Simy, Crotone chief reveals
Published: May 13, 2021
Crotone sporting director Giuseppe Ursino has revealed that several clubs in Italy and abroad are interested in signing Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo in the summer transfer window.
The Nigeria international could be cherry-picked by clubs higher up the pyramid following the demotion of Crotone to the second tier of Italian football.
Simy is too good to be playing in the Serie B after an outstanding season that has seen him score 19 goals in 36 games, 29 of which he started.
The lanky striker, who is valued in the region of eight million euros by the Sharks, is attracting huge interest from Sampdoria while Udinese and Genoa have both been mentioned as possible destinations for the Super Eagles star.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia via sampnews24.com, Ursino said :"Simy is a player who always has many requests, even abroad.
"This year there have been more proposals from Italy. He is the typical goalscorer and in the last two years he has grown a lot".
Signed from Portimonense in July 2016, Simy has a contract with Crotone until June 30, 2022.
