Manchester United target Oshoala tipped to leave Barcelona in the summer transfer window
Published: May 21, 2021
Nigeria international Asisat Oshoala is being tipped to depart Barcelona in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
Celebrated Barcelona-based sports daily Mundo Deportivo says that the Super Falcons captain wants to leave Barcelona in search of regular game time, and Manchester United are genuinely interested in her services.
In the current season, Oshoala has recorded fifteen starts from a possible twenty-seven in the Spanish Primera División, logging 1,292 minutes for the European champions.
The Blaugranes are likely to go after another striker in the same caliber as Oshoala should the Nigerian depart the club and another option would be to hand more first-team opportunities to the prolific 18-year-old attacker Bruna Vilamala.
The four-time African Women's Footballer of the Year would be an ideal signing for Manchester United as she has the experience of playing in the Women's Super League having previously worn the colours of Liverpool and Arsenal.
On her curriculum vitae, Oshoala also lists FC Robo, Rivers Angels and Dalian Quanjian among her previous employers.
