Rotherham United on brink of deal for versatile Anglo-Nigerian midfielder
According to Rotherham Advertiser, League One club Rotherham United are on the verge of completing the signing of versatile London-born Nigerian midfielder Hakeem Odoffin.

The Hamilton Academical utility man is scheduled to undergo a medical at the Millers on Monday ahead of his unveiling.

Scottish Premiership duo Hibernian and Motherwell were interested in signing Odoffin but are set to miss out on the 23-year-old.

Rotherham United are set to sign the Anglo-Nigerian as a replacement for Matt Crooks who joined Middlesbrough last month.

Odoffin was in outstanding form for Hamilton Academical last season, making 41 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals, and was named in the Scottish Premiership Team of the Week on at least two occasions.

Odoffin played youth football for Tottenham Hotspur, Reading and Barnet before earning himself a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers, followed by spells at Northampton Town and Livingston.

He is capable of playing as a defensive midfielder, central defender and a right fullback.
