Confirmed : Another Nigerian youngster signs new contract with Arsenal
Arsenal have confirmed through their official website that Flying Eagles hopeful Ovie Ejeheri has committed his future to the club after signing a new contract.

Ejeheri has put pen to paper on his first professional contract with the north London club.

In doing so, he became the third Nigeria-eligible teenager to sign a new deal at Arsenal this summer after Arthur Okonkwo and Mazeed Ogungbo.

The promising goalkeeper signed schoolboy forms with Arsenal at U9 level and first trained with the club at the age of five.

The 18-year-old progressed through the academy ranks before earning promotion to the U18 squad in 2019.

"It’s a very, very special day for me. My mum and my dad, they’ve helped me from my whole career, taking me to training, even when it was very, very hard for them, so it’s a good moment for me and them," Ejeheri said.

"I'm really excited to keep this journey going."

Last season, Ejeheri made nine appearances in the U18 Premier League, conceding 12 goals while keeping two clean sheets, and was first choice goalkeeper for the prestigious FA Youth Cup.
