EFL : Bournemouth duo Billing and Solanke, Bolton's Afolayan continue brilliant form with goals
Three players of Nigerian descent continued their brilliant form by scoring goals for their respective clubs in English Football League matches on Saturday, October 2.

Bournemouth have returned to the top of the Championship table after coming from behind to beat Sheffield United at the Vitality Stadium.

After Morgan Gibbs-White had given the Blades the lead in the 56th minute, Dominic Solanke stepped up to convert a penalty he won and equalised for the Cherries in the 62nd minute

One-cap Denmark international Philip Billing fired the ball into the bottom corner to make it 2-1 at minute 65.

While Solanke has tallied 8 goals in 12 matches this term, Billing has played a game less with six goals to his name.

In the League One, Oladapo Afolayan made it seven goals in thirteen games across all competitions after scoring Bolton Wanderers' second goal in a 2-1 win over Shrewsbury Town at University of Bolton Stadium.

Midway through the first half, the former Chelsea schoolboy found the bottom corner to give the Trotters a two-goal advantage.

Afolayan has netted six times in the third-tier and his other goal was against Port Vale in the EFL Trophy on August 31.
