Dutch-Nigerian winger Dillon Hoogewerf has missed out on Manchester United's Goal of the Month award for September 2021.
Manchester United have confirmed that Brazilian left-back Alex Telles has claimed the Goal of the Month accolade for his sensational volley against Villarreal in the UEFA Champions League.
Hoogewerf was shortlisted for his effort in an EFL Trophy clash against League Two club Bradford City on September 21.
Other nominees were Cristiano Ronaldo, Jesse Lingard, Ona Batlle, Bruno Fernandes, Ella Toone, Alejandro Garnacho, Zidane Iqbal and Manni Norkett.
After coming off the bench at half-time, the Netherlands youth teamer burst through and finished superbly past the Bradford goalkeeper after collecting a pass from Shola Shoretire in the 82nd minute.
