Harry Maguire watches Nigeria-eligible defender shine on first start for Manchester United U18s
Nigeria-eligible defender Habeeb Ogunneye was part of a young Manchester United side that played out an entertaining 3-3 draw with Middlesbrough in an U18 Premier League fixture at Trafford Training Centre in Carrington on Thursday afternoon.

On his starting competitive debut for Manchester United youth teams, Ogunneye was one of the most impressive players for the Red Devils.

According to Manchester United's official website, the game was attended by first team captain Harry Maguire who is not on international duty with the England squad due to a calf complaint.

Two down after twenty minutes, United halved the deficit when Ogunneye got to the byline, smashed in a cross and Sam Murray slotted home in the 23rd minute but Boro restored their two-goal advantage through Jack Stott.

Boro defender Beals was shown a red card after smashing into United number 10 Max Oyedele to get his second yellow in the 26th minute.

United won a penalty in the 28th minute and again it was Ogunneye doing the damage as he showed a brilliant burst of pace and was brought down, Manni Norkett hammered into the top corner to make it 3-2.

With ten minutes to go, Kobbie Mainoo headed home to salvage a draw for Manchester United.

Before the visit of Boro, Ogunneye had made two appearances off the bench in the U18 Premier League, against Manchester City and Newcastle United.
