'Manchester United is a top team' - Super Eagles hopeful admits tough test awaits Foxes
Published: October 15, 2021
Super Eagles hopeful Ademola Lookman has admitted that a tough test awaits Leicester City in their Premier League meeting against Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.
The Foxes are under pressure to perform after winning only one of their last six Premier League games and Brendan Rodgers' work has been made harder with Wilfred Ndidi unavailable for selection due to a hamstring injury.
A deadline day signing from RB Leipzig, Lookman has forced his way into the starting lineup, having started the last three domestic matches prior to the international break.
Lookman and his teammates will be playing against a world class team who have in their ranks Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes, and the Red Devils are definitely the better side on paper.
However, in an interview with Leicester City's official website, the 2017 U20 World Cup winner highlighted that Leicester City have to bury their chances if they are to win and has called on the fans to get behind the team.
Lookman said : "It's going to be a tough test, most definitely. Manchester United is a top team with a lot of great players, but it's about us implementing our game and stopping them.
"It's about us enforcing ourselves on the game also. We want to show our quality and our confidence with the ball.
"Making the most of our attacks is important. Us, as a team, going after them, setting the atmosphere, and getting the fans behind us is also important.

"I'll tell what you the favourite bit for me is. At the beginning, when the fox comes onto to screen, you just hear that roar, that's goosebumps right there."
Last season, Lookman was on target against Manchester United but the goal was in vain as Fulham were beaten 2-1.
