Iheanacho sends message to Daka after first Premier League goal vs Manchester United
Published: October 16, 2021
Leicester City put in their best performance of the season as they claimed a 4-2 victory over Manchester United at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Mason Greenwood fired United ahead on 19 minutes before Youri Tielemans, assisted by Keelchi Iheanacho, resorted parity for the Foxes with another brilliant strike just after the half hour mark.
After Caglar Soyuncu gave Brendan Rodgers' side a 2-1 lead in the 78th minute, Marcus Rashford marked his return from injury with a goal in the 82nd minute and Leicester City went to score two more goals through Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka.
Making his second appearance off the bench in the top-flight, the Zambia international bundled the ball home at the back post to increase Leicester City's lead in the 91st minute.
Iheanacho took to social media after the game to share his thoughts on the victory and sent a message to Daka following his maiden goal in the Premier League.
The Nigeria international posted on Instagram : "Great team performance today, thank you for all your support! Congratulations to my brother @patsondaka for his first goal in the Premier League".
Iheanacho will be hoping to be involved for Leicester City on Wednesday, October 20 when they tackle Victor Moses' Spartak Moscow in the Europa League after missing the matchday two fixture against Legia Warsaw due to a passport issue.
